Episode 94: Finding Flow in Chaos

Did you think you were in control? The key to life is knowing that the tighter you try to hold on, the more bumpier the ride will be. When you learn to move, then you can find the flow.

Okay, so imagine your life is a coloring book, but someone just launched the entire box of crayons into the air - that’s where this week’s episode begins, and if you’ve found this podcast, you can probably relate! In this episode we are leaning into the idea of flow - not just as a nice concept, one of those nice to find concepts, but as a lived experience (like, real-time, no-plan, where-did-my-schedule-go chaos). Because let’s be honest, that’s where Tash seems to live and Ginny skates on the edge of.

This episode is real life, well at least our real life. We’re relating this topic to animals, mountain bikes, camper life, and how sometimes, frustrating as it is, when doing the dishes actually is spiritual practice. It’s about letting go of rigidity, making peace with imperfect routines, and figuring out what matters most when the schedule explodes.

✨ This episode is for you if:

  • You’re trying (and failing) to stick to a morning routine

  • You’ve ever reorganized your kitchen because life feels out of control

  • You know you need structure, but also push hard against it

  • Your dog somehow understands your dinner habits better than you do

  • You’re navigating a big life change, job shift, or “what now?” moment

💡 What Comes Up in This Episode:

  • The difference between having a plan vs. needing control

  • How animals (and mountain bikes) teach us the magic of flow

  • The signs you’re out of alignment - and how to gently course correct

  • When structure becomes nourishment, not punishment

  • Why “going with the flow” isn’t just a concept - it’s a skill

Ginny brings the horse metaphors and Tash pulls from mountain biking and camper life to show how flow isn’t about floating along - it’s about knowing what to hold on to and what to let move. Think of this episode as your permission slip to stop trying to force your schedule to behave - and start making peace with the reality of your actual life.
